Extremely faint positive at 12DPO, should I be concerned?

Hi all

Ive had an extremely faint positive at what I think is 12DPO (but I didn’t actually get any positive ovulation test this cycle). Currently on day 29 and my usual cycle length is between 27 - 31 days. Does anyone else see the line? Does it being so faint suggest a chemical/ectopic? Any similar experiences or advice would be very much appreciated!

I dont have any advice but I do see the line quite clearly.

1. Maybe you ovulated slightly late
2. Maybe implantation happened slightly later
3. No it doesn't at all suggest an ectopic at this point (I've had an ectopic, with an ectopic you'd be looking out for tests that don't get darker, or that get darker then lighter repeatedly, you'd be looking out for spotting, especially dark/blackish blood, pain)
4. Try not to worry 🙂

Did you test this morning? If your tests don't get darker over the next few days you could ask your GP for blood tests, but I think given you're not entirely sure when you ovulated your test is looking good.

Thanks so much for the replies, I really appreciate it. I’ve had previous miscarriages and an ectopic and slow rising HCG was a sign of those so hard to know if I’m right to be worried or not! I did test today and the lines look darker but I’m still not convinced they are as dark as they should be. I’ll just try and keep myself distracted and keep testing when I can.

So my tests have continued to get darker but I’m still feeling like the progression isn’t amazing. I’ve got a scan in a week so will know more then!
