How long did it take you to conceive at the age of 30? Was it your first? Or? Just curious. I’ve currently got 2 already and wanting a 3rd but I’m 30 and wondered if it’s not as easy

Im 34 and just got a positive result last night, have been having unprotected sex since may but this was the first month I actually tracked when I was ovulating properly and have got a positive result, not my first but a big age gap my first is 15 and I came of the pill around the end of April

I conceived 1st, 4th and 1st cycles between the ages of 29 and 34. I have a friend my age whose been trying for two years. You just never know I'm afraid

I thought the same and when I was thinking of ttc 3rd age 34/35 I got pregnant quicker than with the ones in my 20’s. There’s just no telling although all 3 were under 3 months of coming off contraception. I’m not one for “trying” with all the ovulations tests and tracking. Just go about our usual business without the hormonal contraception.

I think if you & your partner are in good health and try on the right days then being 30 won’t be a limitation at all.

i conceived first month of trying age 34. age 36 i got a chemical in my first month of trying and then a successful pregnancy from my second month. There’s a lot of luck involved but being 30 isn’t relevant.

I was 30 when I conceived my second child, first time of trying. It was a big surprise as it had taken eleven months to conceive my first, and also I was still breastfeeding. I thought it would take ages.

Your age shouldn't be a problem, especially as you already have two children so you know you don't have fertility issues.

it was as easy for me to conceive at 35 as it was at 25 (first month unprotected) but that’s just me. Everyone is different.

Banoffeepie29 · 31/08/2026 16:02

Currently pregnant at 35, conceived on the second cycle, but only did it once the month before. I also conceived my son at 31 having unprotected sex just once. It really can vary, but 30 is still a highly fertile age, despite what the media will tell you. Even most 20 hear olds don't get pregnant on the first cycle. How quickly did you fall pregnant with the others?

Weirdwonderfully · 31/08/2026 16:11

I had my 1st at 26 went onto the depo came off that after 2.5 years and a year later at 30 my cycle returned to normal and I fell pregnant on the same cycle that my period was normal
and now I’m 32 weeks.

I'm 32, I had my daughter in 2020, 2 miscarriages since. From May 2023 I went on the combined Pill due to trauma around the miscarriages. We decided to try again in Feb 2026 (larger age gap than originally wanted but hey ho!) and I got my positive in July 2026. So 5-ish months from stopping the Pill to getting the positive 😊
