how long do you have to work somewhere before you can become pregnant and get mat leave?

having a nightmare time with work.

thinkiing of quitting and going somewhere else.
but not sure how long id have to work there before trying to get pg.

summary of types of maternity leave here but paid maternity leave is 26 weeks continuous service at 15 weeks.

whatdayisit, it is 26 weeks at 15 weeks before due, so 26 weeks at 25 weeks pregnant.

In other words, you just need to not be pregnant when you start.

thanks. basically whats going on is ds is in nursery its closed for 2 weks at xmas work wont let me have time off.i have no family in the uk either
