Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

@MummaAgain2026 when I had the booking appointment earlier this year with the pregnancy I lost I had to give a urine sample so I wouldn’t worry about an uncomfortably full bladder just enough you can provide a sample. My scan date came through after the booking appointment.

Im feeling very normal apart from being quite tired which had been a blessing in one way as my youngest is having the hardest time starting school (we are awaiting autism assessments and I’m debating if I should look at home schooling). On the other hand last time I didn’t have any symptoms and it didn’t end well so I’m very nervous but holding on to the fact everything looking fine at the 6 week scan.

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 16/09/2026 14:07

@MummaAgain2026 I'm the same. So nauseous, but very hungry, then I force myself to eat and makes nausea worse!

No booking appointment or anything yet but I am only 6+1 today.

Silverglass · 16/09/2026 14:54

Oh, make sure at each appointment you ask for a pee container to take home for next time, it’s much less stressful doing one in the morning at home then taking it with you 😂 was hard even seeing what I was doing once I had a bump and mine never had the cardboard boats just the tiny tubes.

Heartofhope · 16/09/2026 15:26

Does the booking app actually take 90 mins as it says it does? What does the midwife even do for all that time?! 😅 my son is 13 so been a long time since I’ve done this!

im in Scotland so not sure if its different but I got my scan date when I booked my booking appt too, they just book both over the phone.

congrats to all those that have had good scans 🫶🏼 I am hoping and praying to get my 3+ in the next few days then will book an early scan. I miscarried last year at just under 8 weeks but we never got a 3+ so I kind of knew and feel like it’s a massive milestone to get it now 😔🥺🤞🏼

I’m in Scotland too and was wondering the same about the booking appointment length.

im also hoping for my 3+ over the next few days 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mine took just under an hour, they asked a million and one family questions mostly and also things like did I plan to breastfeed etc and put me onto the list for an nhs breastfeeding class when I said I wasn’t sure, did baseline blood pressure, bmi, urine test etc. This was late november time so I also got my flu vaccine at the same time. I think I also got sent to have bloods done but I can’t remember if that was the booking appointment or the 12 week scan. 🤔

Joining on :)
Baby number 2 due mid May.

We had a mmc in March this year. We had a scan at 7+4 with a strong heartbeat and found out at our 12 week scan that baby had stopped growing at 7+5.

Really struggling with over thinking/reading everything/symptom spotting this time around. I don't think I've done any actual work this week I've just been on thread after thread😂.

Really unsure what to do scan-wise. Part of me thinks we should maybe wait until 12 weeks because essentially nothing will change the outcome but I'm also a little bit of a control freak and not knowing what's going on inside me is already killing me. So any advise would be amazing!

Heartofhope · 16/09/2026 16:46

Thanks for the info @Silverglass i totally don’t remember that last time round either it didn’t happen or I’ve forgot as it was soo long ago! 😅 though I see pushing the breastfeeding hasn’t changed! I didn’t want to and didn’t try when I had my son but I do want to try this time, though heard stories that it’s really hard to begin with so who knows. Feel a million miles away from that just now with so much anxiety hoping all is ok this time round!

hope you get your 3+ @jg09x 🤞🏼

Milennialworkinprogress · 16/09/2026 16:51

I had my booking appointment today and it was 2 hours! I was starving 😭

Pip1402 · 16/09/2026 17:03

I’ve just had my booking appointment come through and I’ll be nearly 10 weeks. It was bang on 8 weeks last time, there must be a lot of May babies due here! Hoping it doesn’t push back my scan date.

I’m so sorry you went through that. I’m thinking of having a scan at 7 weeks but the reassurance really doesn’t last very long does it. It’s actually making me think I might do a couple of private scans before the NHS one. If it’s a mmc then I’d rather know sooner rather than later so I’m not planning for the future and getting attached any longer than necessary. Also so that I don’t have to keep dealing with pregnancy symptoms. It’s such a personal decision though. Do you think a scan would be helpful at all?

Lookingforhope26 · 16/09/2026 18:50

As stated, I had a scan showing heartbeat and 6 weeks 5days on Sunday…
however, I was getting sickness days leading up to that including on the day, and lately I haven’t noticed any. It’s terrifying me.

Yeah I had the same thought about knowing early if it was bad news. Although I've read sometimes the NHS don't take private scans into consideration so sometimes it doesn't help the situation time-wise. I'm so torn🫠

Plumchumm · 16/09/2026 20:34

I’m bang on 5 weeks today. Had some left sided cramps so went in for a scan - they saw nothing in uterus or anywhere 😭 hoping it’s too early. They saw no ectopic either and started with hcg bloods.

Apparently I ovulated from my right side so hopefully the left sided pain is gas/gut related. I’ve had really bad trapped wind since getting pregnant 😭

will get results of my first hcg tomorrow fingers crossed

MixedBananas · 17/09/2026 06:45

Oh hello your here. I started a group in Birth Clubs.

Yes I am 13DPO today and found out at 8dpo. My 7 pregnancy but have 2 children and 4 early miscarriages 6 weeks and less. So each day I am POAS like crazy.
My tests are darkening daily. And had some intense symptoms.

MixedBananas · 17/09/2026 06:47

Moominmamato3 · 28/08/2026 14:35

Yes it’s all on an app now, I didn’t have to self refer with my youngest so it’s all change before we even really get started!

My booking appointment is on the 23 Sep but I’m just focusing on getting to my scan atm. Last time development stopped round 5 weeks just didn’t know until the bleeding started round week 10 so I feel if everything looks good at 6 weeks I will be able to relax a little and get excited

Not in Wales 😂 still call the community midwives and register on the phone. They do use Badger notes now. Which I Hate. I wqnt ohysical notes. I loved having hard copy.

MixedBananas · 17/09/2026 06:51

@Ataneli so sorry to hear. I also had a miscarriage in March/April it was not viable from the start and geatational age could not be determined as POUL. I have had 4 veey early losses. So also just teating and POAS like mad.
The NHS can offer reassurance scans after loss. Naybe speak to your team.

So sorry for your loss. i also experinced the same. No pregnancy symptoms other then fullness in my uterus and weeing a lot. Then the spotting started and after a week they confirmed not viable and then a further 2 weeks negative bhcg and bleeding stopped. From the start it didn't feel right.

This time I have had extreme fatigue, boobs enlarged, noodiness, foggy brain which jas been horrendous. Very early still so being cautious I am 3W 5Ds based on ovulation. Just missed my period.

Heartofhope · 17/09/2026 07:14

Welcome and congratulations to all the new joiners!

I got my 3+ milestone this morning which we’ve never had before 🥹 I know it isn’t a guarantee but I was so happy to see it! I too want to go for an early scan in 10 days ish time but my partner is against it after a bad experience, I think he’ll come round though. Either way it doesn’t change the outcome but hopefully give us a wee bit reassurance 🤞🏼♥️

how’s everyone else getting on? I’m 5w 3d from LMP but 5w from my estimated ovulation date x

FolkSongSweet · 17/09/2026 08:51

@Heartofhope Im similar to you - 5+2 today by LMP, think I might be 5+1 by ovulation.

I started feeling unwell yesterday - blocked nose, headache, body aches - and felt horrendous by the night. Was up taking paracetamol at 5am this morning but actually feeling a bit better now. Hoping it’s a bad cold and not Covid or flu which I think can be dangerous in pregnancy. I don’t have any pregnancy symptoms yet really other than food is tasting a bit off, but hard to know if that has something to do with whatever respiratory virus I’ve got!

I will be having an early scan next week because I’m on a lot of medication and don’t want to carry on taking it if it’s not going to work out.

Goingtobeafirsttimemum · 17/09/2026 08:54

I had an early scan yesterday I was 5+4 but saw baby and a heartbeat was so relieved to see as I was so nervous and anxious going in as this is my first pregnancy. The doctor dated me at 6 weeks but I know I ovulated on Cd 10 instead of 14 like normal so that would make sense I was further along than realised.

Heartofhope · 17/09/2026 09:32

Aw I hope it passes quick for you @FolkSongSweet i was similar to all those symptoms 2 dpo and got a cold sore, was taking cough meds etc thankfully all ok as I didn’t give a thought at the time as had counted the cycle out! Hope you feel better soon and hope your scan goes well.

im away on a hen weekend next week to Marbella (suggestions for not drinking welcome 😂) and hoping to do an early scan after I get back.

scan sounds perfect @Goingtobeafirsttimemum ♥️ that must have been amazing to see a wee heartbeat

Ataneli · 17/09/2026 10:07

@Heartofhopehow many weeks are you? I think I'm around 5ish weeks and got a 2-3 on the cb digital on Monday but got it again today.

I know you shouldn't rely on them for reassurance but it's easier said than done. The same happened last time with our mmc so naturally I'm now spiralling 🫠🤣

Just re read and you already said your dates, sorry!

TTCno1in23 · 17/09/2026 10:21

@Heartofhope I’ve had hens too and just had to tell them because there’s no chance I could get through a full weekend with no drinking with no one suspecting - so no advice here sorry haha

Heartofhope · 17/09/2026 10:32

@Ataneli do you know when you ovulated? I only hoped that I’d get the 3+ once I was 3 weeks from that date (today) and thankfully that’s what happened. I do 100% sympathise with you because I had this scenario last year, at the time I did lots of reading online in my spiralling mind and it wasn’t always the worst outcome for lots of people, some people can take a bit longer for the HCG to reach the level needed on the 3+ threshold. 🤞🏼 for you ♥️

@TTCno1in23 i only really know a few going the rest I don’t know well at all so I was either going to pretend and drink lemonade 😅 or say I’m on antibiotics for some sort of infection 🤷🏼‍♀️ it would be very unusual for me not to be drinking too 😅
