Spotting at 10 weeks - seeking reassurance

Hi everyone,

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and yesterday had a little bit of fresh blood when I wiped in the morning. This went away and I just had a tiny bit of brown blood later in the evening. I hadn't had any sex or anything like that.

I have had a previous loss at 20 weeks so this is really stressing me out. I talked to EPAU and they said to monitor the situation and if the bleeding comes back to call them again.

I have heard bleeding and spotting are very common in the first trimester but because of my history I can't help but jump to the worst case scenario and I'm spiralling a bit. I've booked a private scan for tomorrow but in the meantime I'm just looking for some reassurance and stories from people who've had spotting around 10 weeks and gone on to have successful pregnancies.

Thank you 🙏

Hi my lovely,
I completely understand your anxiety and hope that the scan tomorrow reassures you.

I spotted all the way through and my gorgeous baby boy came a little bit early but is now a strapping six foot teen 😍

I hope you have a healthy and happy pregnancy going forward and that the spotting isn't anything alarming xxx
