Some advice please on faint lines on pregnancy test.

I don’t track my ovulation, however I do track my period, I had my first faint positive yesterday with clear blue early detection and a cheapie.
I’ve also had more positive tests today but still only faint.
my app does say I’m only 7dpo but I think I’ve probably ovulated a little earlier to be getting positive tests.
are faint positives common at this stage or should I be concerned? TIA.

I know the cheapie looks like it has no colour but it does and they both shown within the time frame.
the camera is doing a terrible job of picking them up

Very normal OP - congratulations, if you test in a couple of days you will probably have stronger lines. Good luck xx

I’ve tested again this morning and still very faint which is stressing me out, is this normal or shall I brace myself for a potential chemical

@Taylor26 is this your first time trying to conceive, have you had any losses before? X

If you are testing very early then the tests can be super faint to start with, as faint as yours are now. The HCG hormone doubles every 48 hours or so in early pregnancy, meaning it may not have had time to meaningfully increase yet and show darker lines on a test.

Try not to panic, give it a bit of time 😊

Here is a picture of my first positive from my second pregnancy, it was about 9 dpo. I am 22 weeks now. As you can see, it is barely visible x

@SKLM I’ve had a chemical pregnancy before, hence the reason why I’m a serial tester and panic at the tests not progressing 🥲
I was supposedly only 6dpo when I had my first positive and it’s been 72 hours since and the lines aren’t that better than the first once which is why I’m worrying so much.
but that gives me some hope that maybe my tests are just normally progressing at this stage! Congratulations on your pregnancy!🥰

I’d imagine you must have ovulated earlier. It’s pretty much impossible to get a positive at 6dpo as the embryo isn’t even ready to implant until 5dpo and it takes a couple of days for HCG to get to the minimum of 10miu required for a positive test.

@Taylor26 bless you it must be a stressful time. I'll be crossing my fingers for you. I had a chemical in between my two pregnancies so I know it can be hard x

@SKLM yeah it really is, especially when you already know how a chemical pregnancy goes. I just have to remind myself that it’s not in my control whatever happens but I’m hoping for a sticky baby🥰

@TrackIt no I already know that I probably ovulated earlier this cycle! I’m still a week away from my period so it is still early days😌

Update* so from my first positive test it’s been 40 hours. I feel as though my anxiety has officially taken over or I’m being dramatic, either way it gives me some hope that maybe it’s simply to early for lines to be progressing yet

Congrats op! I had my 1st positive yesterday at 9dpo. It was as faint as yours. I’ve taken one this morning and the line is the same.

I will also be tracking line progression due to past chemicals xx

@Ghht it’s so nerve wrecking I think, and it’s stressful when you’re expecting them to get darker each day but it really isn’t how it works🤣
I feel for you because I know how disheartening a chemical is. Fingers crossed we both have sticky babies🥰
