Pregnancy fit to fly, high BMI

Hi, I am flying next week and will be 28+1 weeks pregnant and Ryanair states I'll need a fit to fly.
My GP won't provide it, not will my midwife and I can't get one from a private online GP as my BMI is 30 (on the dot). Any advice where I go from here? Rhanks

When you say your GP and your midwife won't do it, do you mean they met with you and said that you are unfit to fly, or that they do not provide that service?

Sorry, yes I meant they don't provide that service. Everything else with my pregnancy is low risk x

I'm sure I was told that with certain conditions, you can't fly that late? Maybe the advice has changed. I'd ring a private GP to confirm, although if one has already said you can't, then maybe that's just the rules and you could look into whether your travel insurance will cover you?

If you google fit-to-fly letter, you can get them online for roughly £40 - I was lucky my GP kindly did it for me

Could you try a different private doctor? Or is it all private ones won’t sign off with a high bmi? Don’t fit without one as it might invalidate your insurance at this stage of pregnancy.

Can you badger your midwife again? I went on a cruise around then, and my midwife said she was a bit busy but if i drafted it for her then she'd copy and paste it into an email and the cruise was happy with a printed off email. Basically do 90% of the work for her, so she just has to click send.
