Hi

decided to have some pumpkin and sunflower seed bread for lunch today try to eat bit healthier and didn’t read the full ingredients and saw they contain golden linseeds. I heard we are not meant to be eating these as they can cause preterm birth or bleeding etc
I ate 2 slices and I’m 19 weeks pregnant. Im really scared as I had problems with my last pregnancy at this time and scared this would harm this baby

can anyone help to know whether this is true or not?

thanks

Where did you hear that? I would stick with the NHS guidance, which is cautious enough but mentions nothing about linseeds.

it’ll be fine.
theres good and bad in most things. apples contain cyanide but we dont stop eating those.

A quick Google suggests that eating linseed in large quantities can potentially be problematic, so you will be fine op.
