Ovulation test picking up pregnancy?

What are the chances that an ovulation strip can pick up a pregnancy?
I'm TTC. I have the Flo app that is usually pretty accurate. I’m mostly 28 days but have the odd 32 day cycle. Nothing ever in between it’s usually 28 or 32. I just went by the flow ovulation but noticed I didn’t have much discharge round the time of ovulation. Almost a week after my predicted ovulation (last Monday) I had a lot of discharge that I thought looked like that egg white discharge so I took a ovulation test (didn’t take any previously I didn’t feel the need but seen them in Asda for £2 so thought oh why not). The test was positive. Took it again 24 hours and it was still positive, but stronger this time. But all this week I’ve still been getting a lot of that discharge, to the point I feel wet but it does look like fertile discharge to me. Out of interest today I took another ovulation test (a week to the day after the peak result) and again a really strong positive.

i wasnt going to take a test until the day my period was due which is 1 sep based on 32 day cycle. I’m on day 26 and I’m tempted to get a test now.

I feel like I’m over thinking it. Maybe I have a bad batch of strips and my body is just being weird. But between now and the time that I’m able to finish work and get a test I needed someone to put all my thoughts to.

It’s one of those things. Yes an ovulation test can be positive when you are pregnant as the hormones are similar. However a lot of women get positive ovulation tests before their period anyway when they are not pregnant. So unfortunately there’s no way to know for definite unless you take an actual pregnancy test.

It is possible.. I'm currently pregnant and I did dip one of my ovulation test out of interest a couple of weeks ago to test the theory and it was a blazing positive. However, I've also had positive ovulation tests right before my period too.

Only way to find out is to do a pregnancy test 💜

I done the pregnancy test and it was negative. I’m thinking I may have a dodgy box of ovulation tests because I just don’t think all 3 across a week and half would be positive would it? I'll see if my periods turns up anyway and try not to overthink it.
