Measuring 5 weeks when I thought I was 7.

Hello, I have had two previous early miscarriages and pregnant again now. From my last period I should be 7 weeks, I went for an early private scan as bad anxiety. She said I was only measuring at 5 weeks 4 days, I’m sure my dates are pretty accurate so now I’m panicking! She will rescan me in a week. When I thought I was 5 weeks I felt so sick all the time and had bad anxiety and over the last couple of weeks I feel this as eased a little bit so I’m really worried now😢 anyone had any positive stories?

Is there any chance you did ovulate late? Were you tracking to know for sure?

It's very hard at that stage as everything is so small so don't loose hope just yet x

I went for an early 6W scan due to some issues and she told me I was measuring 5W. Total stress for weeks, but baby ended up measuring on track from about 8-12w. At 5/6w they are so small they are MM and even a few MM makes them drastically different in size. And of course, you will also get discrepancies between each person that measures you.

Try not to worry, can be perfectly normal to be slightly out at this point. Hopefully you will see a heart beat in the next 2 weeks.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times and unfortunately for me it’s never worked out. There was never any changes by the second scan. But I was always sure of my dates so knew it was bad news immediately. That is a big discrepancy in your dates but were you tracking ovulation? What was the date you first got a positive test?

I had the same thing... Based on LMP I was 7 weeks when went for scan but it showed 5 weeks 6 days. We saw a heartbeat but baby looked like a blob so I had another scan 2 weeks later. The measurements caught up a few days but he had to do 3D scan to get a good picture because baby was so scrunched up! Did you see a heartbeat? Could have been a few days early...

I had a third scan at EPU a week ago (at 10 weeks) due to bleeding and all was well. Hopefully yours will be the same x
