Can cholestasis lead to an earlier planned c-section date?

Hi I’m just looking for long for some advice or suggestions if anyone has successfully gotten an earlier section date with cholestasis.

I’m currently 35 plus 5 and my c-section is booked for exactly 39 weeks, I was diagnosed with cholestasis at my 32 week appointment with the itching getting more severe to the point that I can’t even sleep at night, they have prescribed me piritin and dermacool to help but so far it’s offered little relief.

I had cholestasis with my first pregnancy and my induction was booked for a few days after I was 38 weeks, I know 39 weeks isn’t much difference to 38 weeks but the thought of having to go through another 3 weeks is driving me mad, I just don’t know how much more of this itching I can take without taking a peeler to my skin in hopes of some relief.

The itching is unreal isn’t it, I do feel for you. I had one of my sections brought to 37 weeks because of weeks of contractions due to polyhydramnios. Speak to your consultant, good luck

I was induced the day after I was diagnosed with cholestasis; from memory they don’t like to leave you too long with it. Could you get them to retest in case your levels have increased and then ask for an earlier section? Wishing you loads of luck, it’s no fun at all you have my sympathy!
