Experiences of advanced NIPT at 40 (or close)

40 years old and pregnant from my second IVF round after a previous loss. Very very anxious about almost everything at the moment and because of my age - want to collate as much information as possible. Going to pay for an NIPT test and lean towards the advanced. Would love some experiences from people around my age who tested for the sex chromosomes as well as the basic list. I know there can be a higher false positive for them but I also think I'd stress and worry without the information. Thank you! (Thinking of going with Window to the Womb)

I just read your post to her and her immediate reaction was don't go with Window To The Womb, go with the lab that your Maternity Unit is linked to. She says the Maternity Staff basically arrange it all and you will have your blood test at the Maternity Unit within a couple of days. She didn't find out the gender (chose not to know) but she felt the actual test results were very reassuring following very concerning normal genetic test results. She thinks the chance of Downs under the usual test came back as 1:4 but the NIPT showed 1:318. Her baby was born happy and healthy.
