Experiences of ECV at 36 weeks with a breech baby

my daughter is 36 weeks pregnant and he's breech they said if he doesn't turn she may have to have a evc but someone's told her they are painfull , had anyone else had an evc and how did it go.

I've had one. It's about 50 50 success I think. It was uncomfortable but not awful. They give muscle relaxant first and you are carefully monitored. Need a hospital bag just in case. Mine didn't work and I had a planned section. I have a friend who had one that worked and then had a natural birth. It was a long time ago and I don't know if I would make the same choice to try it in retrospect.

he's turned 28 days to go will be my last grandchild number 8.

Mine was fine. Yes it hurt a bit but it was over in about ten seconds. My daughter stayed put after that :)
