Piles and anal tags :(

Like lots of women I developed piles during pregnancy. Fast forward years later and they come and go now. I understand how to treat them with cream, suppositories and a healthy diet etc.

But I think I’ve got an anal skin tag - resulting from one of the little piles that has shrunk but just stretched my skin. Does anyone else have this? As I’ve read no cure, just wanted to feel like I’m not alone!

can’t believe how much pregnancy and aging changes the literal look of your butt and vagina!

Can't relate, just sharing sympathy. Do you have any regrets at all? Might be too early to tell, I suppose.

I just read up on this and apparently you can treat them - including with surgery, if they don't resolve on their own or lifestyle changes don't help. Could be worth consulting your GP and pushing for better treatment. But I don't have any experience, just trying to be helpful.

I think you can have them removed if it’s really bothering you. I’ve had a skin tag for 10 plus years. If I was still single I might care enough to do something about it haha. It is meant to be pretty painful to have them removed

Are you sure it’s even noticeable to “an observer”?

Thanks for the question but I'm not going to comment on what my bum hole, vagina, or the space between looks like and how aging has changed it.

Good luck with your issues though! :)

I had this. Got surgery to remove and was the worst decision ever !! Was in severe pain for 6 months and only rhen realised it wasn't so bad having it and was only worried for cosmetic reasons really which is kind of crazy when I think how rarely that area is going to be viewed

Thank you for replying! I’m thinking it’s something to just ignore and live with. Granted a GP hasn’t confirmed it’s a skin tag, but it’s causing me no pain or bother, and Dr google matches it all up!
sorry for the pain and suffering you’ve endured. Thanks for sharing with me.

I’m in the same position- piles from pregnancy/labour that has turned into a skin tag. Also haven’t actually been to the dr but I think it’s pretty clear what it is 🙈 I was considering surgery but hearing about the pain etc puts me off. I have IBS too which means I’m scrupulous about keeping the area clean, use wipes etc. I’m going for ignoring it too!!
