I had high BP at the end of my last pregnancy. This time around I’ve been started on aspirin at my 12 week booking appt and referred urgently to consultant next week. Any else any experience? Looking a little reassurance.

Yes, had this in both my pregnancies, and in both I developed high blood pressure around week 33 that needed medication. For my second I was under a consultant, which wasn’t that different, it just meant a few of my appointments were with them.
Because I’m a bit obsessive, I bought a bp machine and logged my bp in an app so I was the first to notice it spiking and could get medication. But that was because with my first I kept being hospitalised and I didn’t want that with my second when I had a toddler to look after.
With both babies I was induced early (37/38 weeks) and they were born small. No lasting effects for them or me (5 and 7 now!).

That’s for taking the time to respond. Thankfully my BP was ok yesterday. I think home monitor might not be a bad idea if I can control myself not getting too obsessed with checking. Maybe just once a day when I’m semi relaxed. It is a different experience with a toddler though when I read into it all it can lead to serious issues. Glad I’ll be closely monitored and fingers crossed it behaves itself
