Looking for success stories trying for baby number two after chemicals

Hi all

I’m looking for some hope/success stories around ttc baby no.2. After not even trying 5 years ago when I conceived my first, we have been trying for a year now and had two chemicals, one in December and one in February and since then nothing! I’ve had some blood tests which all came back normal apart from slightly low b12. I paid to have a progesterone test and that was fine. My partner had a semen analysis, also fine apart from 1% out in morphology however the doctor said to not worry as everything else was in good range. I’m a couple of stone heavier than I was back then which I’m trying hard to lose but it seems every time I get a negative test I want to eat my feelings and I’m just starting to feel a bit rubbish about it all. I know compared to some a year is nothing but has anyone got any successful stories they would mind sharing or whether you did anything different the cycle you eventually conceived. Seriously considering the mucinex and aspirin method or fertility acupuncture!? Thanks in advance! Xx

Thats great! Can I please ask when in your cycle you started taking it? Is it after you ovulate

I cannot remember now at all. He's 7! But I think if I had to guess i took it continually as I was ttc. I'd had about 6 chemicals and an MMC. I started taking aspirin and then the next positive test was ds!

It was the stomach coated 75mg ones I think but best to check.

I gave away dc1 baby clothes... coincided with the weekend we conceived. We had been trying for over 3 years at that point with nothing, no cp, no mc. Literally nothing (tbh dc1 also took almost 3 years and I had several mc and cps in that time, tests showed no reason both times)

The only thing that was different that cycle was dh took me away for a spa weekend to cheer me up as in the space of 2 months 4 friends announced pregnancies and another gave birth. I genuinely put the fact that I was just so totally blissed out from massages and happened to be ovulating that we were successful.

ETA I wish you all the luck and baby dust!!

I had 3 MC and 2 chemicals TTC2, varying between 5 to 12 weeks, all back to back. Had no problem conceiving apparently but consistent issues maintaining the pregnancy it seemed, despite all clear on blood checks. In the end after a lot of research and quoting journals to my Dr, I was prescribed progesterone during a threatened MC, starting taking twice daily from 5-16weeks. And whilst I'll never know if the progesterone saved the pregnancy or if it would have worked out anyway, I went on to have my baby2. I wanted more kids but emotionally couldn't reasonably say I'd cope with any more losses! So we stopped at 2.

Good luck.
