27 weeks pregnant with evening belly cramps, could this be Braxton Hicks?

I’m 27 weeks pregnant and For the 2nd evening in a row now I am experiencing belly cramps. It feels like the start of a stomach bug or food poisoning when you get those waves of pain. This is my 3rd pregnancy but don’t recall having this before. Could it be braxton hicks?

I had this with my first baby and he was born at 32 weeks! Never happened with baby 2 or 3.
The cramping was quite intense and they prescribed ranitidine as I also had horrible acid reflux too and felt sick but wasn’t sick which I always think is worse.
id get a GP appointment tomorrow and speak to them and see what they say. I hope it passes soon for you.

Braxton hicks is usually tightenings but not pain. I suffered terribly but it was always pressure but not cramps

Any tummy pain when pregnant for me recently was always bowel / constipation related.

if they get worse worth calling midwife or getting checked at MAU for peace of mind

My braxton hicks were tightening but no pain. Have a chat with your midwife.

for me braxton hicks felt like my stomach was a hardboiled egg that had cracked. Slightly uncomfortable but not painful.
it could be a upset stomach but I’d speak to midwife
with my 3rd pregnancy these started around 24 weeks but the pregnancy went full term

Best to check it out, could just be ligament pain, but no point in worrying in you can just see the midwife

Thanks all. 5 mins after posting this, I thought to myself “call triage instead of asking the internet “ lol. They advised me to come in for monitoring as I have IUGR. Everything was fine and they honestly said it could be many different things causing the pain and they wasnt sure but baby was happy.

I didnt really think it was braxton hicks but the stopping and starting again after 24 hours threw me. Lets see how tonight goes 🫣
