Anterior placenta

I’m pregnant with my second baby with an anterior placenta. Also had this with my first. I’ve been told again I won’t feel as much due the positioning of the placenta. However, I feel lots of movement, as did I with my first.
i want to know, am I missing out on a different feeling because of the placenta being a “barrier”? Or do all movements feel the same regardless of the positioning of the placenta? Bab

I had anterior win my first and felt that I had pretty good movements felt even before it shifted towards the end of pregnancy. Currently 11wks with my second so still a little off this time round. Can I ask when you started to feel movements with this pregnancy?

I think I was around 15 weeks when I started feeling movement. It felt felt bubbles or popcorn popping.

im on my 2nd anterior placenta pregnancy also and I thought I felt something last week but now thinking maybe not as not felt anything since. Im 16+2.
I was a bit disappointed im not going to lie because I was excited to see how it felt not cushioned by my placenta haha.

The placenta doesn't cover the entire front and can sit in different anterior positions. I had lots of movement from 17 weeks with dc1 whose placenta was anterior. Visible from the outside from around 26 weeks and easily felt by dh. Placenta was quite high so low down movement in particular felt materially, no different.

I then had dc2 whose placenta was posterior and the movements were completely different and a lot stronger. In fact, it verged on uncomfortable without the cushioning.

I have an anterior placenta, currently 36 weeks and sometimes my whole stomach moves and can be seen through my clothes!

It might delay you being able to feel the initial movements when they’re small, but you won’t miss out for long!

I felt flutters around 16 weeks. Now he wakes me up with his antics, the movements cannot be ignored.

Try not to worry x

I had an anterior placenta with my first, but not with my second. For me, there was no difference. I started feeling movements both times around 16 weeks, and they continued consistently.
