Anyone want to join me on my pregnancy journey, I'm 41 & I'm 4 weeks 4days pregnant with my 2nd.

I found out 3 weeks 5 days! This is going to be a long pregnancy. I can already feel heavier. I'm hoping to eat super clean so I can shift a few pounds before I actually need to put it on.

My symptoms are cramping & I'm sooo bloated. I already look 4 months pregnant.
Be good to share this with others going through the same.

Yes hello! 👋 I’m 15 weeks.1st pregnancy. Have been suffering from horrendous nausea/sickness from about 6 weeks but it is easing now with the help of medication but I a very bizarre relationship with food and smells!

Mummabear2one · 11/08/2026 07:00

@Lillylight hey! Oh I'm sorry to hear that, glad to hear it's easing up. Not looking forward to the nausea but that sounds hellish.

Hoping the 2nd trimester is a breeze for you ☺️

Hello there, and congratulations! I’m 40 and currently 11 weeks pregnant with my second. I’m sooo exhausted. Pregnancy feels harder this time around as I have a very active 18 month old! I’m not physically in the best shape feel more worried this time around.

Yes there no other way of putting it - it was rough! I had a scan at around 6 weeks and it was amazing to hear the heartbeat. I hope the bloating clears for you as that sounds uncomfortable.

Congratulations to you. I find I just generally worry more but I assume that’s just age! The 1st trimester I was so tired it was crazy but 15 weeks in I seem to be getting more energy back.

Quentina · 11/08/2026 16:00

I’ll be 40 when I give birth! This is my second pregnancy. I’m only 9w but look as big as I did a month further on last time. Luckily my nausea seems to have subsided from all-day-constant to just occasional waves.

Mummabear2one · 12/08/2026 07:37

@Sheequi wow you must be exhausted. I hope you are able to get some rest. I actually had Wegovy injection in my basket and thought I better take a test just incase & lo and behold saw the faintest line.

We take so much stress planning/ hoping to get pregnant and then when we are we stress about it. I'm going to really try and not take it on and just enjoy being pregnant.

@Quentina aw, is your bump from bloating or from your bump? I heard 2nd time round you show earlier. With my 1st I was lucky to have not too much nausea so I'm hoping this little sesame seed will be good to me too 😊

@Lillylight we live remote so can't get an early scan, I would love to see one. Am away in a few weeks so seeing if there's any availability in the city. It's great when you get your energy back. 1st trimester last time I slept a whole weekend.
He did come out as 9 1/2lbs, hoping this one isn't too much bigger

I went to the toilet this morning and had a bowel movement, I didn't strain too much (tmi! I'm sorry) and since then I have been bleeding from my vagina.

I went to the Dr & they said I had to wait a week and do a test!
I only phoned to let them know and they phoned to say they wanted to see me but we're pretty useless which I know they were going to be.

Anyone else experience that? Feels like a period?
No clotting or pain, just the standard stomach cramps I've been having.

My trying not to stress and enjoy the pregnancy is well & truly out the window.

Sorry to hear that @Mummabear2one, I think there can be various reasons for bleeding in pregnancy and it’s hard to know how serious it is. Can you call the EPU in your area and see what they suggest?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 12/08/2026 13:40

I'm sorry you've started bleeding @Mummabear2one
It's always such a worry.

Mummabear2one · 12/08/2026 14:29

I live on a remote Scottish island with not many services, will just start testing in a few days and see how it goes.

I didn't bleed with my son so fingers crossed.
I have seen many positive and negative stories! So will shall see. Apparently it's a thing so a bowel movement can cause bleeding. Who knew!

I had bleeding quite often when I was pregnant.
I live in a remote part of Scotland, too.

Mummabear2one · 12/08/2026 15:52

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne oh that gives me hope. It's now acting like a period day , was that how it was for you?

I'm just going to test at the weekend and see how I am

It wasn't as much as a period. I've had miscarriages as well, where there was quite a lot of bleeding.

But I've definitely had small amounts of bleeding in some pregnancies, which ended up successful.

If you're bleeding more and more, I don't think that's a good sign. But some women bleed quite a lot and everything is OK.

I'm so sorry - it's a waiting game.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 13/08/2026 22:51

How are you now @Mummabear2one?

Mummabear2one · 14/08/2026 08:23

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

I had some bad bleeds & cramps and took 2 tests yesterday and they were negative.i knew the night before when my bloating went

Grateful it was early & I don't need intervention but I've been bleeding heavily for a couple of days now.
Even though it's early your body changes so much.

We will try again soon xxx

I'm really sorry for your loss @Mummabear2one

I questioned whether to comment but in case it brings you some hope, I'm 41 and expecting my second after a miscarriage, I fell pregnant the very next cycle.

Wishing you all the luck xx
