Light pink spotting after progesterone pessaries and blood thinners in pregnancy

Hello,

I posted here the other day around late ovulation levels. My doctors have put me on progesterone pessaries and enoxaparin injections. Since being on the progesterone, around 3 days after using them I’ve been having this light pink spotting, it starts around half an hour ish after my partner inserts them. I am thinking maybe he is inserting them too high up which is causing irritation? Also due to the blood thinners I am guessing a little blood can look like a lot? I am also on 150mg of aspirin.

I just wanted to know other people’s opinions and see whether people had experienced the same?

TIA!

I had spotting with the pessaries, I understand it's very common. They can irritate your cervix, one way to avoid is to use them rectally but I couldn't so just wore pantyliners for the whole time I was on them. Annoying but they seemed to do the job!

Thank you that does sound reassuring! At the moment it is only when I wipe so no need for a panty liner yet! I do think my partner may be inserting a little to high. I don’t think I could do them rectally

did your spotting look like mine? I had spotting like this with my last pregnancy which turned out to be a molar pregnancy so a little bit nervous.

Yes, it did. Also had some brownish discharge which again is common with the pessaries.

I'd had a miscarriage right before falling pregnant this time so totally get feeling nervous at the sight of any spotting or anything, it's horrible x

It really is!

I had a scan today and I am measuring 5 weeks, a week behind LMP but I believe I ovulated around 4-5 weeks later so sounds about right. Their only issue was that they were a little concerned because it looks like I’ve implanted quite high, they did say it is too early for them to be certain and because the sac is so small they couldn’t be sure. I think they just said it for precaution. I have another scan next week, hopefully everything will be in the right place with a heartbeat! Xx
