Any help? 8 week scan

Just had an early reassurance scan for a few symptoms. Got a lovely lady who told me all is well, one baby, one heart beat, arms, legs ect………but I can’t help but notice when I got home the weird structure to the right. Looks like another baby? There’s absolutely no way she would have missed this right? So it’s probably just some kind of structure inside and not another baby? RIGHT??

There definitely appears to be something there doesn’t there. It does look like another sac. I’d maybe call them and ask them to review the scan and explain your concerns? Hope you get some answers.

I think I’m just going to sit on it until my 12 weeks scan, because I specifically asked her to look for twins as I had a gut instinct and she specifically said back to me one baby…….. But then that? I don’t know how I didn’t notice that until I got home! I have a tilted uterus too apparently 🤷‍♀️

Ah ok. We’ll see you how you feel. If you can put it to one side for a few weeks then see what the sonographer says at 12 weeks. I think you’d be perfectly within your rights to go back to the private place and clarify though if you find the 4 week wait too long.

Was this a private or NHS scan? The measurement says 7week 5 days, but its all very tiny at this stage. Is this in keeping with your dates? I'm afraid I don't know when the other image is but you might want to remove your personal details from the scan- full name, DOB etc.

Is it the structure on the lower right that’s concerning you? It looks like it could be a cyst? It’s not the same size as the fetus you can clearly see and it doesn’t have the markers you’d expect like a fetal pole or yolk sac.
