When do I tell my new work about my pregnancy?

Ahh I’m in a little bit of a dilemma. I am 14 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and I started a new job 3 weeks ago. I am absolutely dreading telling them. I am due at the start of 2027 and wondering when to tell them and how to approach the conversation.

Before anyone wades in saying I’m not doing anything wrong and just tell them, I have valid reasons for being anxious. I had my first child a few years ago, i had worked for this company for a number of years before but i got sidelined on my return from maternity and ended up leaving due to pregnancy discrimination so I am so worried about being treated badly again but I am also conscious the longer I leave it, the less time I’ll have left until I need to go off. I also know you don’t need to legally say anything until 25 weeks but that just feels too late.

I feel like I haven’t allowed myself to enjoy this pregnancy as much as I did my first and actually even share my news with people because this has been lingering over me the whole time. Any help on now to navigate this would be greatly appreciated.

I wasn't quite in your position but I was made redundant at 8 weeks pregnant. I had two final interviews for 2 new positions at 12 weeks. One was job exactly in my field and in a company that I didn't want to alienate. My plan for to tell them at the first convenient opportunity once I had an idea about line management and how to phrase things. The other role was just a job and not in a field that I would have been worried about not pursuing. I wasn't going to tell them until the deadline.

Unfortunately I didn't get either role and have taken a career break instead
