Hello all ♥️ first of all I’m well aware what I’m about to share sounds like all the signs of an early pregnancy loss. As painful as that feels, I’ve emotionally accepted it as the most likely possibility now, although of course I would be delighted if everything was okay.
If my experience below is similar to anyone’s, I would appreciate hearing your stories, whatever the outcome ♥️
I am 33F, 165 cm, approximately 83.7 kg (down from approximately 95 kg last summer).
My partner and I started trying to get pregnant on holiday in July, prepared for it to take a long time to see a positive result. So when I tested positive on an ultra early test on July 23, we were over the moon happy (in shock and denial mostly at first, but so happy). I took both line tests and digital tests that came out pregnant and 1-2 weeks pregnant.
We both were well aware that miscarriage was possible this early on, but have tried to remain positive. I was testing nearly every day, which I wish I hadn’t done as it only made things more confusing for me- despite still seeing positives the lines did not appear to get any darker. Then last Tuesday at noon I took another digital and my heart sunk: not pregnant. I tried to rationalise that it could likely be because I had emptied my bladder 80 mins prior, and that evening I woke up at 4 am with a full bladder and did another test. This time it said pregnant again but 1-2 weeks.
Jump to this Thursday and I wake up with light brown spotting (once in morning and once in evening, not enough to need a panty liner). By Friday morning the blood turned bright red and period like, enough for a pad and not enough to soak through. Pain incredibly minimal if at all, mostly lower back soreness.
Then today it has been switching between red and brown blood, and around 30 mins ago could see some stringy dark blood coming out.
As I had not tested for a few days, I decided to do one today (digital and line test) at around noon from a cup sample (very red murky water from bleeding). The digital said not pregnant and line test was positive albeit very faint.
I contacted my EPU yesterday and they have fitted me in for transvaginal ultrasound next Wednesday, so now we wait, but given symptoms and testing pattern I’m mentally prepared for confirmation of early pregnancy loss.
in terms of other symptoms, I had some mild nausea that stopped a few days ago. Only more noticeable physical symptom is tender breasts, and my boobs seem to be q lot bigger today 😅
