Six-week scan with no fetal pole yet, anyone had similar?

Got a scan on Monday thinking I was 7+2 but it's showing 6+1. I went in expecting a heartbeat so I was crushed to see there's not even a fetal pole yet... I'm okay with the possibility of late ovulation but I feel like most things I've read said that it should be visible by 6 weeks!

Anyone with a similar story that can reassure me this is normal🙏😩

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

When did you first get a positive test? If you truly are 7 weeks then in my opinion I’d prepare for a loss. If it’s possible you are 6 weeks or under then that’s the grey area and unfortunately all you can do is wait a week or two until you can have another scan to confirm either way.

It was 6 of July that I got my first positive, not stark blue but a plus for sure, and the 27th I got the scan. I've got a scan on the 15th August but the wait is going to be torture 😔

Yes, I had similar. I was around 8 weeks and had some bleeding, went for a private scan and was told there was nothing there, no fetal pole etc. was devastated. Had to follow up in hospital a week later and went in just to confirm the loss. Well, there was a heartbeat. She’s now almost 4 years old.
i hope you have a similar outcome, it’s an awful wait ❤️

Oh my god you had me till the end there, I'm sorry you had to go through this but I'm so glad there's a possibility it will come out positive 🙏

I can't remember the full details as my daughter is now 15 months, but I went in thinking I was a certain 7ish weeks and they told me I was a week behind and no fetal pole, I think it was 6.3. Everything I googled told me there should be a fetal pole by then, but the sonographer said they have to wait till the gestational sac is over a certain size (25mm or something) to confirm a missed miscarriage, and I believe mine was same as yours sort of 11-13mm. Two weeks passed and I went back, and there was a baby and they were measuring dead on my original dates that I should have been according to my ovulation. They told me sometimes the fetal pole can hide behind the yolk sac. Hope all goes well for you

Ochd ladies, these stories are genuinely so comforting ❤️ I think if the anxiety peaks when I'm waiting for my scan I'll come back and reread these to ease my nerves 🤞
