39 weeks pregnant: could this be the start of natural labour?

39 + 3 with my third. I have a sweep booked for later on today, did anyone have a positive experience?

With my first they attempted a sweep on due date but my cervix was unfavorable, with my second I didn’t accept one.

Both came 10 days late with inductions. I’m really keen to try avoid an induction and go as natural as possible.

I’ve had lots of pressure down below for the last week or so, yesterday I felt like I could feel my cervix opening (very strange) sickness yesterday and diarrhea today!

Does this sound like the start of natural labour?

Having the trots was my first sign of labour with 5 of my kids! ( bizarrely also the first sign of pregnancy!)

Eee I hope so then!

Hoping I go to my sweep and she’s like WOW you’re already 6cm hahaha! 😂😂😂

That’s exactly what happened to me with my second! Was 6cm dilated at my 39 weeks appointment. Had the baby later that day! Good luck, let us know how it goes. (Signed, 38+2 with my third and desperate for labour to begin)
