Cyclogest pessaries

I’ve had 5 previous miscarriages and been provided cyclogest progesterone pessaries for this current pregnancy. I’ve never taken them before but my head is absolutely pounding! Is this normal?

I can remember feeling pretty rough when on them but I was never sure what was after effects of IVF meds (for me), what was early pregnancy and what was Cyclogest!
I’d definitely recommend drinking loads and loads of water!
And go to your doctor/clinic if they don’t ease with paracetamol.

They gave me headaches too. Mention it to your midwife/ doctor but for me the headaches went as soon as I cut the dose to 200mg per day at 18 weeks.

I don’t actually know how long they want me to take them for! I got them at my last appointment for IVF funding but have fallen pregnant naturally for a 6th time. I have only been prescribed 30 so assuming a blood test would be done to see if I needed to continue?

I know! So hard to put things down to the cause. I’ve never had a headache like this before where it was towards the back of my head so think it is the pessaries. I’ve taken in about 2 litres of water and my bladder can’t take much more haha
