I'm only 9 weeks but this is my third? Think I feel the odd movement now and again but then again it could be my active imagination and its only wind? How early did you all start to feel movement?

hi oops i have read on net that people have felt movement with subsequent ones as early as 9 wks. i am not sure if i am either i am 11wks on sat

First pregnancy, felt it at 14 weeks. I think that is about the earliest most people feel it, but it can be as late as 21, 22 weeks for some people. Second pregnancy people often feel it earlier but I ALSO read that how slim you are has a bearing on how soon you feel it! Don't know if that's true...

I don't think it's possible at 9 weeks. The baby is tiny and even if it was using you as a punch bag you wouldn't feel it. Plus you feel movement in your stomach muscles and the uterus is way too low in the pelvis at this stage for the baby to touch your stomach muscles.

with dd felt rustling at 12 weeks and solid kicks at 14
with ds felt rustling at 10 weeks and even dp could feel kicks at 12
with dc3 am 9 weeks and can feel faint movements already.

the early movements i can feel best with my hand pressed lightly on my abdomen right above my uterus (it helps if you know where your uterus is!)

tis quite easy to tell whether the movement is baby related if it's coming from your uterus as there's not much else it could be.

i think some people must just have more nerve endings in their uterine walls or something as i also suffered very badly with streching pains the whole way through both my previous pregs.

Hi,

Im 20 weeks pg with my first. Since week 8 i got "feelings" and couldnt explain them, then at week 17 i spoke to midwife because i couldnt tell what was kicks etc and she said what i have been feeling was the baby moving. Now im 20 weeks it is far more pronounced but they're the same sort of movements as at 8 wks!
