Positive digital test followed by negatives in early pregnancy

hi all, just looking for some advice really.. had a digital positive test yesterday saying pregnant 1-2 weeks, today I have had all negative tests.... - 2 digital saying not pregnant and 2 line tests showing negative, I've got no bleeding no pain nothing, just symptoms of sore breasts and feeling sick. Been to drs this afternoon and they said they need to retest me again in a few days. I'm so confused right now. Anyone had this before?

How many days past ovulation are you?

No idea.. not actively trying, my period is due aug 8th. But dtd on 29 June had a bleed for 2 days on 11th with no pain and the bleed was brown. Yesterday positive test, today all negatives. So confused.

Is it normal for a digital to be positive yesterday then today digital and line ones negative tho ?!

Thought this but I've had no bleeding or pains, I feel sick constantly.

Was your urine less concentrated when you did the negative tests? Very early in pregnancy hcg levels can be very small and even minor variations in urine concentration can make a difference.

Maybe test tomorrow with first morning urine?

Testing positive 12 days before your period would be extremely unusual unless you ovulated over a week earlier than usual. Most people ovulate 10-16 days (average 14) before their period is due. So most people at this stage would only just have ovulated. If you conceived last cycle and the brown bleeding was implantation bleeding I guess that’s more likely that being pregnant from this cycle. If it’s still negative tomorrow it’s likely either an early miscarriage from last cycle or a dodgy test and your last period was just a dodgy period. While true false positives are very rare they can happen. And unless you have a blood test urgently to find any remaining HCG it’s unlikely you’ll ever know unfortunately.

Yeah, Dr has booked me in for blood test for Thursday and to redo another sample then...... it's so odd, I've never experienced anything like this before.

ive just Had very pale pink spotting when wiping just now. Period due on 8th.....

I think unfortunately if tests are all negative now, by Thursday your blood test may well be negative as well and you’ll likely never know. But there might still be just enough to pick up. I believe for blood tests anything over 2 is classed as “pregnant”. Chances are you were pregnant from last month and it’s unfortunately ended now and that test you took just caught the last bit of detectable HCG. So the spotting now is the miscarriage starting. Obviously I could be totally wrong but that’s just my thoughts.

I had similar years ago where I was 3 days late on my period, took a test which said 1-2 weeks, took another one the next day which also said 1-2 weeks, by the third day the digital said not pregnant and I started bleeding 2 days after that.

True, weirdly the spotting has gone now but we did DTD last night so maybe from that. Haven't tested today too nervous to.
