Finding a pregnancy acupuncturist - how do I go about it?

Hi all. I'm 34 weeks, baby's breech at the moment (although I think it moves around), and I've got a bit of SPD and crashing tiredness (of course).

I'm trying to investigate acupuncture for turning the baby, relaxing me and maybe easing the SPD pain, but not sure how to go about finding a good acupuncturist who's experienced in treating pregnant women for this stuff. The British Acupuncture Council doesn't let you search by speciality. Have approached one pregnancy acupuncturist but was quoted £90 for initial appt and £65 for follow up sessions which is well beyond my budget but I have no idea how much is reasonable. Any ideas on how to find someone and how much it's likely to cost? I'm in London.

Cheers,

Phil

That cost sounds pretty standard I am afraid.

Where in London are you? I know a good acupuncturist experiences with pregnancy stuff in W6. He is around the same price though.

I used a very good acupuncturist who works in Harley St, Ealing and in Windsor - Daniel at the London Acupuncture Clinic, so him pre-pregnancy and close to labour in the hope of moving things along! Would definitely recommend him, price is £60 initial and £40-£45 after. Think this is pretty much what you'd expect to pay and if you're paying less you might not be getting the expertise you need? www.londonacupuncture.co.uk
