Just recently found out I'm expecting (approx 5-6 weeks) so roughly due around mid/late March 2027, however myself and DH have been invited to two weddings next April, both of which are adults only but obviously all being well with this pregnancy, baby will be approx 2-3 weeks old at the times of both weddings.
we already have 1 DD (18months) who we've already arranged to stay with grandparents when we attend the weddings, but what do we do about the newborn?!
would you leave them with grandparents also, ask nicely if the baby is able to attend given it'll be so young, or just not attend the weddings at all?!

Child free weddings usually exclude babies in arms.
If baby isn't included, I wouldnt be going to the wedding. DH may or may not depending on the relationship with the bride&groom. So, he'd have gone to his brothers wedding, but we'd have declined my friend's one.

I’d decline with a baby that young. Even if babes in arms are welcome, at 2-3 weeks you could still be recovering or having feeding problems. It might be ok if the weddings are nearby but then you run the risk of having to cancel last minute if not, and that doesn’t seem fair for expensive, pay per head weddings.

I would be inclined to tell them now you won’t be able to attend, gives them plenty of notice. Attending a wedding with a baby that young would not have been something I’d have wanted to do at all.
Leaving a newborn with grandparents is a really bad idea especially if you’re going to breastfeed.
If you really want to attend asking if you can bring the baby is the only option. Unless DH goes alone depending on his relationship with B&G
