The final stretch! Due August

Is anyone else due in the next few weeks? Thought it would be nice to have some company as we wait for labour to begin.

I’m currently 37 +3 with my third. Due August 10th but hoping the baby will arrive slightly before! No labour symptoms yet, although pelvic area is very sore by the end of the day chasing my 5 and 3.5 year old daughters around.

I am 38 so slightly “geriatric” and have a history of placenta abruption so the OB is saying I will be induced before my due date… However I would
love to go spontaneously. Both my kids were spontaneous vaginal births- firstborn was a dreamy water birth in a UK midwife led unit and second was a fast and furious hospital birth in Canada. This one will also be a hospital birth in Canada, but I’m hoping it will be more calm!

Would love to hear from more expectant moms!

Not long left! Good luck OP!!

I’m due August 17th with my first baby and I’m so ready for her to be here, I feel so much pressure walking around and she’s feeling very heavy 🙈. I can’t lie I’m so nervous about birth though!

Thank you @Ftm2026and good luck to you as well! Not long left for either of us. Such an exciting (and nerve-wracking) time. Even though I’ve given birth twice, I’m still nervous for this one… so you’re in good company :)

Are you doing any birth prep? I’m revisiting some hypno-birthing meditations but not much else. Bouncing on the yoga ball when I can. The baby is head down, which is a good start I suppose!

Your birth prep sounds amazing!

I’ve done lots of curb walking, drinking rasberry leaf tea and got the exercise ball out although next week I think I’m going to start trying to harvest some colostrum too.
How are you finding sleeping? I feel like no matter what I cannot get comfortable I’ve got about 4 different pregnancy pillows and neither I can get comfortable with, I’m sure my body is just preparing for the sleepless nights!

Oh you’re doing all the right things! Also you reminded me about colostrum lol. Forgot about that.

I’ve found sleep pretty easy, to be honest. But I think this is because I am chronically exhausted and my iron was/is incredibly low. I am getting weekly infusions which are helping slightly. I do get up to per at least twice though! And then up for the day around 6am with one of the girls. I have been going to bed around 8:30pm, that’s how tired I am!

im going to get a sweep next week at 38+2 to see if things move along…
