Soft Cervix?!!!!

Hi i'm 30+4 weeks pregnant and was admitted to hopsital this afternoon with cramps and extra discharge, after giving a sample found out i had protein x2 and blood in my waters. Dr done an internal and it said on my notes cervix closed but soft admits fingertips.

Wot could that mean and is it good?

this means that your cervix is ' ripening & and softening ready for when you go into labour . it begins to dilate a bit which is what is meant by it admitting fingers. Its all normal!!

may be a little early but doesn't mean to say anything will happen. midwife will probably just want to keep a close eye on you !

Well i have to go back tomorrow and on monday for checks!!

One good thing if it happens early, baby is head down!!!

Went for check up today and everything is same as yesterday so have to go in monday but should start to clear up with anti biotics and painkillers.
