Progesterone and irritation

Hello,

I am currently 7 weeks pregnant, I was given progesterone to start taking vaginally, today is my 5th day of using it but my down below is red and irritated from using it. I wondered if there was anything pregnancy safe I can use to help soothe the irritation?

Any creams etc?

Are you taking cyclogest? If so, that can be taken rectally. Much less messy and no irritation 🙂

I used rectally too, no mess at all and can’t even feel it once you’ve popped it in!

Yes it’s cyclogest! Thanks ladies, I didn’t realise you could take it that way, is it just as effective?

Yep just as effective, I've been on it for weeks and my progesterone levels are high. I'm looking forward to coming off it 😄
