Chemical pregnancy?

Morning all
so I tested posted 4/7 around 9/10dpo
only a faint positive but also got a digital

began testing every day and seen no progression in the strips (did it more as in disbelief I was pregnant again) worried it was progressing

on the 9/7 I asked my gp if they did hcg tests and they said no as I’ve got no previous infertility issues
and to contact back if pain or bleeding

that afternoon I began spotting and my period was due around 10/11th the spotting got heavy and yesterday I seemed like my period was here

heavy but not overly heavy for day 1 period and a few small clots no bigger than a 5p

google (I know is terrible to do) told me it could be a chemical and to look out for further symptoms in case ectopic. I haven’t had any one side pains Just the usual mine period cramps and I find myself watching out for shoulder pain constantly and feel like I have a dull painless ache (I’m an over thinker when it comes to symptoms) and a 2year old boy who wants to be carried and in his jumping on you stage

my question is do I need to do anything? My doctors said contact back if bleeding but this just feels like my period and I feel they will just say that to me and I don’t want to waste an appt for someone who might need it more than me
my thought process is if I hadn't done that test I would have thought it was just my period arriving and wouldn’t even think on my shoulder ache

I'd keep an eye on the bleeding and pain if its unusual for you then call. But yea it kinda sounds like a chemical pregnancy. Worrying I'm going through that myself as getting faint positives they just arent getting darker.

I'm sorry, that does sound like a chemical. It took a week for me to test negative again after I started bleeding.

Did you find you ovulated as normally after the bleed/period ended
were ttc baby no2 and hoping to try again this month

I’m so sorry! I really hope that this isn’t the case for you 🤞

Ovulation was about four or five days delayed that month and I didn't catch, but I did the following month. Best of luck!
