I'm 5 weeks 6 days it it's such a strange time because other than savage breast pain and bloating I feel normal. It's surreal. Nothing to do but take folic acid and vitamin D, eat healthily and wait to see what happens next... Anyone feel the same?? Am going to try wait until 7 weeks to get a viability scan, but until then... ⌛⏰

Aw that flicker gets you doesn't it, i still think about seeing mine. The night brain is so real, everything feels bigger at 3am than it does in daylight. Really happy for you, hope you get some proper rest soon.

Hey, firstly congrats too all the future mamas 🎉❤️

Im 5+5weeks. After ALOT of sad times I have finally got a great positive test! Which is reassuring however, I just wondered if anyone has been feeling sick then it's just stopped? Like my boobs were sore (so sore, in the mornings when I sit up it's agony 😅) and I felt nauseous all day until id managed to eat. Today however I've not felt sick at all? Boobs are still tender but not quite so much as they were. I'm just so worried by every little change 😔 has anyone had this? it's going to be a tough 2 weeks until my scan 🫠xx

That flicker on the screen really does stay with you, I still catch myself thinking about mine at random moments. Waking up in the night replaying it just means how much this little one already matters to you, which is kind of lovely even when it steals your sleep. Congrats again on your little blob.

Congratulations on the positive!! 🤗🎉 Not sure if this helps but I listened to a podcast and they said it's normal for symptoms to come and go. My sore boobs aren't quite as bad as they were and I'm only a day ahead of you! They've definitely got a bit better. I had an unpleasant sensation in my legs for a few days but that's almost gone... Hopefully it's just your hormones doing their thing and changing day by day xx

Aw I'm really glad it helped. Honestly the lying awake replaying that little heartbeat flicker is the sweetest kind of insomnia, mine did the same thing after my first scan. Hang in there, these early weeks are a lot but you've got this.

Emilychen · 21/07/2026 20:13

aw i'm so glad it landed. that little flicker on the screen really sticks with you, i still catch myself thinking about mine at random hours too. the night-waking replay is so normal after a big scan, your brain's just catching up with the good news.

Emilychen · 22/07/2026 02:24

Aw i'm so glad it landed, and honestly waking up replaying that little heartbeat flicker sounds like your brain trying to hold onto the good part. That first scan really sticks with you. Sending you a calm night's sleep and a lot of excitement for what's coming 🥰

Emilychen · 22/07/2026 05:15

Oh the 3am replaying is so real, my brain does its best overthinking in the middle of the night too. That flicker on the screen is everything though, hold onto it on the wobbly nights. So happy for you.

That flicker on the screen really does stay with you, i still catch myself thinking about mine at odd hours too. Waking up replaying it just shows how much this already means to you, which is a lovely thing even when it costs you the sleep. Wishing you a calmer night soon.
