Hi, I’m 13 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I’ve been having some bleeding when I wipe. Me and my partner did have sexual intercourse last night so I’m not sure if this is the cause. I’ve spoken to 111 who told me an out of hours gp will ring me in the next two hours so I’m just waiting on them. I am on aspirin in this pregnancy due to a previous miscarriage so that’s something to note as well. I am very worried😭

Why out of hours GP rather than the early pregnancy unit at your hospital? Is it because it's the weekend?

I hope it turns out to be nothing. I had bleeding in 5 of my 6 pregnancies. 3 times it was nothing. Twice it was significant. Good luck x

If it's old blood it's less of a concern. Hopefully the GP will have specific advice for you.

I'd go to the maternity assessment unit at your hospital. That blood is fresh and they need to assess you for any bleeding. They'll check baby (doppler or scan), take bloods and check your cervix is still closed (meaning you aren't miscarrying).

I bled at 14 weeks in my current pregnancy, it was terrifying but I'm glad I went to get seen. I ended up having anti d (as I'm o- blood type) and getting prescribed progesterone so it was definitely worth going. 21 weeks now.
