Hi everyone!! Just looking for some helpful advice or anyone who’s been in a similar position. I’m 5 days (ish) late on my period - they aren’t super regular but about every 4-5 weeeks and i’m now about 4/5 days over the 5 weeks mark (sorry if that’s confusing!). I have had a few miscarriages in the past and chemicals, so decided to hold off on the ttc cycle as i’ve got a new job and home in the near future however the method was just “pulling out”…. i’m late, my boobs have been sore the last few days and i did a test last night and this morning which were both positive and then today through the day they’ve been negative! slightly confused because even if i did ovulate later then i would still be 12-15dpo and surely expect a positive test? i’m just looking for some clarity as i don’t really have anyone to talk about it with 😊 has anyone had this before? i know urine can be more diluted and i should stop testing but its just habit now having been in the situation so many times!

If you are that late (and admittedly it's hard to know with slightly irregular cycles) you'd expect a strong positive with any wee. So I'd say either you ovulated later than you thought, or this is a chemical pregnancy and you'll start bleeding soon. Upsettingly the only way to know at this point is to wait a few days and see what happens or test again at that point. X
