7 weeks pregnant and passed a bright red clot, any experiences?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant today - and as I sat on the toilet I had a small gush of blood with a bright red clot in it. Obviously I've done the worst and googled it, if it was a loss, according to chat I would have had grey/white tissue and there was nothing like that. Just a bright red clot. I honestly don't know what to do, I've had no cramping or pain just literally that flow of blood with the lump. Being first time pregnancy I'm not sure what it was or what's happened - any help/experience would be 100% appreciated, could this still be a viable pregnancy? I've also done what the internet says and have put a pad in to monitor

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I had the same at 8 wks. In my case, the midwife said it was normal as I was on progesterone, both orally and vaginally. DC just turned 4. Be careful, take it easy, rest. Speak to your midwife for advice. All the best

That happened to me and now he’s 11.
so hopefully it will be the same for you.
If your blood type is rh negative you may need an injection at the hospital though (this is the case for all rh negative women, injection if there are any bleeds).
beat of luck. I hope it all works out for you.

Thanks for your replies that's reassuring! First time for me so I don't know what to expect. Having read up sounds like some kind of clot thing. I've not had any more gushing just some blood when I wipe and no further clots so I'm going to take it easy and see what it's like I. The morning. Fingers crossed I might have just agitated something today!

I bled all the way up to 20 weeks with a bright red bleed at 14 weeks. The baby is now 19. Wishing you all the very best.

I had a big bleed with clots at 12 weeks. The baby from that pregnancy has just rolled his eyes at me as I’ve told him he needs to put down his phone and get in the shower! Fingers crossed for you. xx

I had this in my first pregnancy quite early on, like enough of a bleed to make me think I was going to start miscarrying because of the clots but it stopped and all was well.

It seems to have stopped, it was mainly just the original gush and single clot, this morning it's almost looking like nothing or a tiny bit of old blood so hopefully it was a clot of some kind clearing - going to monitor today and see what happens
