Hi. This is my second pregnancy and I didn’t experience any of this with the first - thankfully. I’m 8 weeks currently and for the last couple weeks I seem to be getting a shooting pain in the top of my left buttock if I get up after sitting too long, or stand for too long, or so housework etc for extended periods. It’s really painful and draining me physically. I can’t take medication for pain so I haven’t been to the doctors. I’m waiting for my booking appointment to speak to a midwife. But in the meantime wondering has anyone else had this and has it got worse/better as time has gone on? I’ve got an office job and it’s currently really affecting me mentally.
I had IVF for this pregnancy and not sure if connected in any way. Still taking cyclogest until 12 weeks.

google says it could be SI joint or Piriformis muscle spasm.
if you’ve had this what has helped please - aside from meds.
