Bleeding and cramping at 8 weeks despite progesterone, any experiences?

I put a post up about a week ago because I had bleeding in early pregnancy.

i had a scan that day and everything looked good and the EPU had no concerns. I was given progesterone and have been taking it since Saturday morning.

i did have a bit of spotting over the weekend but it looked like old blood. No cramping and had stopped by the Sunday.

last night I felt crampy all night, it actually kept me awake a bit. Today I’ve felt crampy on and off and I have had blood when wiping and lightly on a pad.

i called EPU as I was instructed that if I have any more bleeding or cramping to get back in touch with them.

the woman on the phone was a bit cold and basically said as it hadn’t been a week they won’t scan me, I didn’t ask about a scan. However it’ll be a week tomorrow since my scan and she said they won’t have appointments for scans until 2 days time anyway…. Which would be over a week since the last scan. She took my details down and asked some questions and said I’d get a phone call back to discuss.

just wondering if anyone else has had an experience like this where they kept bleeding even with progesterone and what the outcome was? Just feeling very panicked as I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages (and one son earthside) and it’s hard when you go to the people you’re told to for help and don’t really get much help

I should add I’m 8 weeks + 6 days

Hi I’ve been on progesterone since about 7 weeks as was spotting on and off. No reason could be found on scans I’ve had (I had weekly scans in EPU due to previous losses), they said probably cervical irritation. Did they find what was causing the bleeding on the scan?

I understand the worry, is it possible you could book a private scan if they can’t fit you in in EPU? Worth chasing them up though
