My partner and I are trying to concieve. We are aware it can take longer than planned, although are due to start fertility medication shortly. What should I be planning/doing/thinking about far in advance? For example, nurseries around here have extremely long waiting lists, I've started looking at nurseries and funding and will be prepared to join the waiting list ASAP when pregnant. Anything else I should be doing at this stage?

I'm taking vitamins, being healthy etc to try to concieve so this side of things I feel is sorted.

Nothing in my opinion. Focus your energy on your current life - see friends, go on holiday, go out, enjoy yourselves. Do what makes you happy.

I agree with PP but perhaps a big sort out would be a good idea? Babies take up a lot of space so it's good to make some room before you're pregnant.

Try not to think about trying to conceive. Relax, enjoy yourselves.

Thanks everyone! This is great advice because it has consumed my life for a while now.

Embrace the freedom and lie ins whilst you can. I love my life now, but I do look back and laugh at how busy/tired I always thought I was pre-kids.

haha this a million times. DH and I often say we genuinely have no idea what we did with our time before having our daughter.
