Ahhhhh, anyone else just feeling totally grim and want baby here already?! This heat is also not helping. Had a sweep on Monday, lost mucus plug had some contractions and they settled. Booked in for another tomorrow but just feel like I’m going to be pregnant forever 😂

this is my second baby so was holding out hope that they’d arrive a tad earlier than 40 weeks but doesn’t feel/look that way.

sorry this post is just to see if anyone else is fed up 😂 so we can be miserable together

It shouldn’t be long now that you lost your plug!

Can I ask what week of pregnancy was your first child born? I’m currently 36 weeks with my second and I’m wondering if the second one comes usually around the same week

My first was 39w 3d I think so not too far off, I was wondering the same thing hoping this baba would come around the same time or earlier

Nope not in your boat, but been there.

Tired, and fed-up I was ready to cry as I sat down in a coffee shop. Elderly lady at the table beside me asked if I was ok and when was I due, 4 days ago!

Och your entitled to be fed-up!!
I'm a few years down the road but that lady will never be forgotten

And you are absolutely entitled to feel fed up, esp in the heat!
Go get a cool bath.

Totally understandable to be fed up OP. I'm 38 weeks and it was much more comfortable not being this hot! Have definitely reached the 'lets all just have a good moan!' stage of pregnancy. Based on my norm I've got a good 3-4 weeks to go yet 😫

But at the same time my last baby was born just pre a heatwave and for me that was worse. She wanted to be on someone all the time so we spent the first month of her life slick with sweat and trying to keep us both hydrated. The winter baby was the absolute winner 😂 cool for mum, right temperature for snuggles, weather built for hibernation!

Sincerely recommend dowsing a muslin in cool water and draping it over yourself. When it starts to warm up just give it a shake and it's cool again. Put your feet in a cool paddling pool. Seek shade and breeze.

Running your wrists under cool water or holding an ice cube on them also helps!
