Just after a bit of advice or hearing about people’s similar experiences.

i found out i was pregnant in may and went for my first ultrasound on the 10/06/26. I thought i was going to be around 7/8 weeks based on lmp but was told they could only see gestational sac and yolk sac measuring 5weeks. I had a tiny bit of brown spotting after that, no pain and no blood since. It’s now the 24/06/26 and I’ve been for another ultrasound and they can now see a fetal pole but not a heartbeat and the gestational sac is only measuring 6 weeks. They said it could potentially be too early and have arranged for me to go back again but told me to prepare myself for miscarriage. This is really heartbreaking to hear as I suffered a miscarriage back in October 2025 and was really hopeful this would be our rainbow baby! Please any advice or similar stories welcome😊

What date did you have your first positive test OP?

Ellp98 · 24/06/2026 18:16

My first positive test was 11/05

I’m sorry OP, in your position I would prepare for this to be another loss. If your first positive test was 11/05 then even if that was a super early positive at say 9dpo you would still be between 9 & 10 weeks pregnant now. Sorry x

Sorry OP, but I agree with the above.

I had a missed miscarriage a few years ago. I knew the date of conception and that there should have been a heartbeat at my scan as it would have been 7.5 weeks. No heartbeat. They couldn't confirm the miscarriage for another 2 weeks and I was so hopeful somehow all would be ok.

From my research, they should pretty much always see a heartbeat after week 7 :(

Yes I am expecting that outcome. We was a bit hopeful at the beginning of the ultrasound as they said it had progressed from a yolk sac to now a fetal pole but then could not detect heart beat.
