Hi ladies,

I’m 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant, yesterday at around 14:45 I had some light pink blood on the tissue after going to the toilet, it was only when I wiped. But then it carried on but wasn’t too heavy. It wasn’t enough to fill a pad, only when I wipe and it started brown and then went like a darker red. I’ll insert pics in order. Even though I’ve bled, I’ve been in no pain whatsoever.

This morning it was like a watered down redy/pinky brown colour on the tissue after wiping. I retested and it still says pregnant 3+ but I know when you miscarry it can still show as pregnant due to HCG so I’m not sure if that even means anything.

I have pcos and this is my first ever pregnancy so I’m really worried. Has anybody experienced this before?

Thank you all xxx

Hi, I think I posted in your post about this yesterday. Any bleeding in pregnancy should be checked by a health professional. If I was you I’d contact you gp. When I had bleeding like this it ended in miscarriage but I also had light brown bleeding that resulted in my now two year old. It can be nothing and completely harmless but it’s always best to get checked. They might also be able to give you progesterone to help support the pregnancy

I think it could go either way, I had worse bleeding than this and it was a SCH, I’m now 30 weeks pregnant, I would say if it reduces or stops and you don’t have any pain then that’s a good sign. I would contact EPAU for advice.

I had similar with my first pregnancy at the same time but maybe half as much as you had and I had a completely normal pregnancy after.

I'm afraid nobody knows for sure and you just have to wait and see. I hope everything turns out well x

Healthy baby boy.

Never found the cause but it use to worry me sick every time!

Fingers crossed for you!
Just be aware that it may be too early to see a heartbeat (this was the case with me, I was actually measuring a few days earlier that what I expected) and I had to wait a week for a return scan to confirm heartbeat x

They could just see a sac and fetal pole at my first appointment

Same for me. It was an anxious week but all was fine.

@PressureImplosionthats reassuring, thank you! It’s hard isn’t it when you’ve got a scan but knowing you may not hear a heartbeat 😫 but fingers crossed I’ll have the same positive outcome as you! Xx

I had bleeding early on, I. Think 7 weeks. It was just my body being so used to the rhythm of periods. Baby was fine, born very healthy at 40+ weeks. I did have an early scan to make sure.
