Because I am very excited but trying to keep it slightly hush hush for a bit, until DD finishes school for the holidays (or else everyone in school and their dog will know in 3 seconds flat)

:-)

SaveFerris · 24/06/2008 14:25

Thanks :-)

I don't know when I am due. First day of last AF was 8th May, but negative test on Fri 13th June. Positive test Fri 20th June. Still early days.

Going to docs for them to confirm pregnancy Fri - eek!! They ddn't do that at my last docs - they just took my word for it.

3 positive tests though since Friday so I am definitely not making it up!!

Congratulations - LMP date would make it mid Feb, but they might give you another date when you've had a scan - have they told you what they do at your new doctor to confirm? I was surprised 1st time round that GP just took my word for it.

Neeerly3 · 24/06/2008 15:40

save ferris, almost exactly like me - congrats! my first day of last AF was 10th May and i am due on the 17th Feb 09. My positive test was on the 12th June, but very very feint - so hoping it's just one this time!

catstar · 24/06/2008 15:40

Congrats SaveFerris!!! I got a positive test on the same day as you . Like you I am bursting with keeping it secret at work.

Well done!

SaveFerris · 24/06/2008 15:46

Ooh how exciting - congrats everyone!!!

Ths time I feel pregnant, didn't with DD or DS. Mu boobs have gone up a cup size already - they are killing me. And feel sick. Yuck. Not used to 'feeling' pregnant.

Neeerly3 - you have twins already??? How old??

elkiedee - I presume they just make me wee on a stick? I'll go in waving my 3 positive tests I think!

Catstar - are you telling anyone? I have told the in-laws, my parents, my sister (will tell the rest of my siblings and prob grandparents and other close relatives at family party sat) and a work colleague, just so she could be sympathetic when I started heaving :-)

i have twins yes, they are 3.5, will be 4 when new bub arrives....

SaveFerris · 24/06/2008 15:50

Neeerly 3, you are very brave :-) I have a DD who will be 6 when baby arrives, and a ds who will be 4, but still in nursery.

OP posts:
Neeerly3 · 24/06/2008 16:07

brave - not sure, barking mad - definitely!

The boys will be at nursery, but will have to cut their hours down due to going on mat leave and being absolutely brassic.....once i've had me first scan will run round telling everyone willy nilly and then can start my financial planning - talking to work, talking to nursery and working out exactly how broke we will be.

Dh is already bricking it.

catstar · 24/06/2008 17:08

SaveFerris - I started off just telling my Mum, now have told a few close friends but just want tell everyone!!! I have also told a friend at work just in case something happens to me and they need to know I'm pregnant . I'm such a pessimist!

Neeerly3 - what a handful you will have! Congratulations!

My DD is 11 months now so she'll still really be a baby when LO arrives! Less than a year ago I was still pregnant!

funnypeculiar · 24/06/2008 17:16

Congratulations all of you !
