Im expecting my first in early January. Been lucky so far as no symptoms aside from sore breasts and the tiredness.

When do you tend to start showing? Im 11 weeks now with scan booked but not obviously showing yet!

Also as a side, am I supposed to start sleeping on the left now!?

Not too long before the 20 week scan tbh!

I would sleep however is comfortable, ans not overthink it. I recall the lack of sleep in the early days being a massive symptom for me!

I didn't start showing noticeably until around 24 weeks

Just after my 20 week scan. I remember being relieved to see my baby on the scan as my stomach was flat.

I could see a difference in myself around 17 weeks, but it was only noticeable to others from about 24 weeks

I didn't start showing until around 28 weeks, I'm now 35 weeks and still don't have a big bump, I think in certain clothes it probs wouldn't be noticeable! X

With my 1st we didnt announce til 20 weeks and nobody had guessed.

With my 2nd however i popped at 16 weeks very obviously

Around 20 weeks as other say. Mind you my mum went back to work after her maternity leave and people asked her where’d she been - they didn’t realise she was pregnant (and we were all over 8lbs). Some seem to show quickly, sometimes it’s how they hold themselves. Best wishes for a good pregnancy and birth!

26 weeks. Until then, I didn't really believe it (no nausea etc) but at 26 weeks, in the shower, I had the evidence of my own eyes, a slight but undeniable bump. 😊

I took to wearing black tshirt & trousers to work with a coloured jacket over the top and managed to hide it until I was ready to tell people at about 30 weeks.

Around 20 weeks in my first pregnancy. Although you'll notice the difference yourself before then and possibly be struggling to fit in your jeans.

I just got told to sleep on my side at 16 weeks, I wouldn't do it too early as it's not necessary yet.

Depending on the clothes I was wearing and how much attention the person was paying, between 24-28 weeks. Some people managed not to notice until 38 weeks, but I maintain that's on them!

Re side sleeping, I’ve read into this a bit because I can’t keep myself on my side all night and always end up on my back. There’s very limited evidence that lying on your back really increases the risk of harm to the baby, especially early on. At approx 26 weeks I started to notice that lying too long on my back could feel uncomfortable and I started to more easily sleep on my side, it just felt more natural. Still now, well into third trimester I often wake up on my back but I know I’m not spending very long there. I’ve decided to just trust my own body on this one. Certainly no need to worry about it at 11 weeks.

With my first, everyone kept asking if I was sure I was pregnant as my stomach was completely flat until about 25 weeks when I got a tiny bump. I could still easily hide it until about 32 weeks when I suddenly looked very pregnant.

With my second I had a bump from about 15 weeks.
