Early pregnancy scan clinic recommendations in Manchester

Can anyone recommend a clinic in Manchester where I could get an early pregnancy scan please?

I’m 5 weeks on Friday and feeling very anxious about if everything’s ok. No period, no other bleeding and no significant pain to indicate a problem but my test line’s aren’t super strong, despite progressing a little over the last week.

I’ve only been pregnant once before at 16 (20 years ago!!) which ended in miscarriage so I feel really worried that’s happening again without me knowing.

I’ve attached a picture of this morning’s tests for reference but it’ll take a little while to be approved.

Congratulations! Where abouts in Manchester? I’ve used Window to the Womb in Salford Quays and in Stockport too and both were lovely!

Thank you and thanks for the recommendation. We’re quite near Stockport so I was looking at Window to Womb earlier! It’s reassuring to hear you had a good experience - I’ll try them.

If you could possibly bear it I would hold off for a couple of weeks. My dsis had a very early one and they were not able to find a heartbeat. She went back two weeks later and they did find it. She spent two weeks really distraught thinking that her baby had no heartbeat, but in reality it was just because the scan was too early

I had my gender scan and 4D scan at the Stockport one and the people who worked there were so nice. The early scan was trans vaginal too which I liked as it’s a bit easier for them to see. I’d agree with the other poster to wait until at least 6-7 weeks but hope you too have a positive experience!

Another recommendation for window to the womb at Stockport or Manchester. They’ve been so compassionate with my early scans both in this pregnancy and my previous one where they spotted an issue with the heartbeat

Hi, yet another recommendation for window to the womb in Stockport, they’re really near life leisure in Hazel Grove. Parking on site and the sonographer we had a few weeks ago was so lovely.

Thanks everyone for replying - I’ve booked in with Window to Womb for a viability scan at 6+3 weeks. I’m not feeling hugely hopeful but it would be good to know either way.

I did a clear blue digital with the weeks on it this morning which didn’t show any progress and called the early pregnancy unit to ask if there was a way to verify my pregnancy, as I’ve had to stop my medication and am really struggling without it. They said if the lines are faint at 5+ weeks then it’s almost definitely a chemical pregnancy and I can expect a negative test or period soon.

I want to be really sure before I start my medication again so hopefully the viability scan will provide me with an answer.

I'm sorry you're feeling so anxious. Pregnancy after a previous loss can bring up a lot of worries.
At around 5 weeks, test lines can vary and don't always indicate how a pregnancy is progressing. Many women choose to have an early reassurance scan around 6–7 weeks for more clarity.
If your anxiety is becoming overwhelming, speaking with an experienced fertility specialist or early pregnancy expert can also help provide guidance and support. Specialists such as Dr. Tarang have helped many women navigate early pregnancy concerns and previous pregnancy losses with compassionate care.
Wishing you reassurance and hoping everything goes smoothly for you.
