Hi, the bottom one looks positive to me but the top one doesn’t… what do you think?

Cheapie test - no line. Clearblue - definite line! 👶🏼

Eeek! Is the cheapie more likely to be a false negative than a clear blue being a false positive?

Cheapie tests notoriously unreliable - Clearblue v v accurate, that’s what you’re paying through the nose for 😊

TrackIt · 16/06/2026 21:40

Is that other test a clearblue test? Everyone keeps saying clearblue but I didn’t think they looked like that.

Yep!

Well you learn something new every day! I thought they looked more like the clear and simple ones. But never mind!

That’s not a CB OP & I’ve seen some horrible evaps on those tests but hoping that isn’t the case for you. How did you get on today? The cheapies you have are the ones I use and I’ve found them to be really reliable

caitipie · 17/06/2026 10:47

Those aren’t Clearblue tests. Similar to previous poster I find the cheapie strips to be very reliable. Fingers crossed for you

Tuxmittens · 17/06/2026 15:27

Going to do another cheapie this evening

The photos are far too zoomed out to see a line on the cheap one. Can you post a close up photo? You don’t need it to be the full width of the stick. Get the camera focused on the centre of the stick, good luck 😊

Interestingly, this isn’t the case. The easy@home brand, along with other pink line tests, are known for being much more accurate than the blue dye tests. (And don’t get me started on the ClearBlue ‘weeks’ indicator..!)

Not my experience but ok 🤷🏼‍♀️
I guess time will tell for the OP in this case 😊
