Need to vent - facing unemployment because I'm pregnant

I really need to vent. I'm 28 weeks pregnant. Literally 2 weeks after I gave my employer (a woman) my MATB1 form they started complaining about my 'performance' something they didn't bring up until then.

They gave me a option of take a demotion or leave. I took the demotion given that I'm very obviously pregnant and nobody else will give me a new job. Just today 2 weeks after I've officially been demoted they're still complaining. They're gearing up to get rid of me under the guise of performance. I've had no development and they keep moving the goal post. I mean I knew the motherhood penalty was alive and well but I thought I'd at least get to have the baby before being minced.

Call Pregnant then Screwed, they are really helpful with things like this.

They are breaking the law. I’d contact ACAS and also your union rep, if you are a member. If not, join one now if you can.

And get all this in writing: if they haven’t done it by email, make a detailed note now, and you could email them as in” further to our convo at 3:15 today when you said x, and following my demotion on xdate, could you please clarify the support being put in place . As you know I am pregnant and my understanding of the law is that there is a breach here. “ Copy in HR/CEO/ directors just in case they are not aware, but of course if the person threatening is a sole employer that might not be possible.
Once you have obtained legal advice, you can be more specific.
