Please can someone help and i would really appreciate no judgement.

i have found out im pregnant at 9
weeks massive shock, irregular cycles so really is a surprise. Anyway im sort of happy but my main concern is that ive been vaping and literally just stopped today after finding out.

should i terminate? Have i completely damaged this baby? What if i have ruined its future development by nictoine. My anxiety is gut wrenching

Your baby will almost certainly be fine and is not "ruined." It's not ideal, but the baby has barely even started to develop, you just cant do that much damage in that time. And I know fantastic people whose mothers consumed far worse during pregnancy.

Women in the UK often routinely smoked throughout their pregnancies from around the 1920s until the 1990s. The idea of planning to terminate a pregnancy for this spurious reason is so ill-informed it’s offensive.

Well thats not factually true as the baby has started to develop so not sure why you would say that.

i understand your concerns OP and sending you lots of love. Many people are unaware of early pregnancy and worry they have done damage etc you are not the first and certainly not the last. X

As far as I'm aware the NHS recommend switching to vaping from smoking cigarettes whilst pregnant. I have a friend who vaped through her whole pregnancy for this reason and her baby was totally healthy. Try not to panic.

I was a smoker when I found out I was pregnant and was given a vape by the NHS. Obviously not recommending carrying on if you’re happy to stop but I wouldn’t worry at all about having vaped in the first few weeks.

I quit when I got a pregnant test come back positive by vaping. Midwife's and consultants class me as a non smoker when vaping, the baby will be absolutely fine. Seek help for your anxiety though, perinatal anxiety can be brutal.

Congratulations OP
Dont give this another thought
No more vaping and enjoy your pregnancy

"The baby has barely even started to develop" means that the baby has started to develop. Barely means "not much," so the huge majority of the development will be during a period where OP is not vaping.
